Please bring the following documents to your appointment to ensure a smooth registration process
-
You’ll need to present a valid, unexpired photo ID to apply for your marriage license. Examples include:
Driver’s License (any state)
Passport (U.S. or international)
Military ID
For a full list, please see our list of acceptable IDs
-
If you’ve been previously married, you’ll need to provide one of the following:
Divorce Decree
Annulment
Death Certificate of your former spouse
If your divorce was finalized more than 2 years ago, we only need the exact date of divorce.
-
We highly recommend bringing a photo of your birth certificate. The names of your parents on the marriage license should match your birth certificate.
This helps ensure consistency across documents—especially important if you plan to use your marriage certificate for immigration, passport, or legal paperwork.
Please note
As much as we adore animals, pets aren’t permitted in our building.
