Marriage License & Legal Paperwork
Can we get married the same day?
Yes! We specialize in same-day marriage services in Los Angeles. You can get your marriage license, have your civil wedding ceremony, and file your paperwork all in one visit, usually in under one hour.
Are you open on weekends, Sundays, or holidays?
Yes, we’re open 7 days a week, including Sundays and holidays. There is a $50 after-hours or weekend surcharge. Book online or text us for availability.
Do we need an appointment, or can we walk in?
Appointments are highly recommended, but we do accept walk-ins if space is available. Same-day bookings are welcome!
Do you issue marriage licenses?
Yes, we are authorized to issue Confidential California marriage licenses at our Alhambra office. You don’t need to visit the County Clerk.
What’s the difference between a confidential vs. public marriage license?
Confidential License:
No witnesses required
Not part of public record - only the couple can request certified copies
Must live together (no proof needed)
Public License:
Requires 1–2 witness signatures
Becomes part of public record
No residency requirement
As a private office, we are authorized to issue confidential marriage licenses.
Can we just get a marriage license without a ceremony?
Yes. A license-only appointment is possible if you have your own registered officiant and plan to get married elsewhere. The license is valid for 2-2.5 months anywhere in California. OK

Where are you located?
We’re in Alhambra, California:

Our indoor chapel is intimate and decorated, and we also offer outdoor ceremonies under our arch or at Almansor Park nearby.
How many guests can we bring?
Up to 15 guests in our indoor chapel
Up to 20 guests for Almansor Park ceremonies
No guest limit for mobile/offsite weddings
Do you offer mobile weddings at our location?
Yes! We bring the ceremony, marriage license, and legal paperwork to your home, venue, or park. No guest limit. Pricing is based on distance from our Alhambra office.
Language & Accessibility
Do you perform ceremonies in Spanish?
Yes! We offer Spanish-language wedding ceremonies. Text Officiant Candice at (310) 926-4557 to request a Spanish-speaking officiant.
Is your office wheelchair accessible?
Our office is on the second floor with no elevator, but we can hold your ceremony outside on the ground level for full wheelchair access. Let us know in advance so we can set up the outdoor arch.
Legal Name Change & Immigration
Can I change my last name through marriage?
Yes! There's a space on your marriage license where you can indicate your new last name. After the ceremony, you'll use the certified copy to update your name with the DMV, Social Security, passport, and banks.
How long does it take to get our marriage certificate?
You’ll leave with a customer copy of your certificate the same day. The certified copy is mailed to you by the County in 6 to 8 weeks.
Can I use the marriage certificate for a green card?
Yes! Many couples use their certified marriage certificate to apply for a marriage-based green card. We also offer immigration consulting services to guide you through the process—just ask during your appointment.
Ceremony Details
Are rings required during the ceremony?
No, rings are optional. You’re welcome to exchange them, but they’re not legally required.
Can we take photos during the ceremony?
Absolutely! You or your guests may take photos and videos. We’re happy to take a few for you using your phone or camera. For pro photos, feel free to bring your own photographer.
Is your ceremony religious or non-religious?
Our standard weddings are non-religious civil ceremonies, but we’re happy to include religious language or blessings if you request them in advance.
Is there a place to change clothes?
Yes—we have a restroom available for changing before your ceremony.
Pets & Special Requests
Can I bring my dog to the wedding ceremony?
Pets are not allowed inside the office due to building restrictions.
But we can happily accommodate your dog in an outdoor ceremony—book a weekend appointment and let us know in advance!
